It makes sense, the war is very unpopular right now and last I heard signup rates to join the military are not exactly high right now. As long as the president is commander in chief I guess he can pull troops from where ever need be if his commanders advise him to do so.

yes and while it may offend people or creep them out, all i can tell you is that im not that guy when im home, im a nice guy, hence the nickname, and im funny and social, its just that put yourself in my shoes and 24/7 im on a 10 minute recall to handle emergency situations with local nationals, my kindness was taken for granted once, i defended myself by saving my life, you would do the same if you were here, i have nothing against the iraqi people, i have something against the people who use them as curtains to hide behind while planting roadside bombs, no offense but until you hit a point where you scan for bombs more than your heart can beat, looking for tripwire for overhead pass bridge bombs, and wear 40 lbs of bulletproof kevlar mesh gear everytime you get in an armored vehicle, you have no idea the mindset i produce to stay alive, im not ranting or complaining, just asking to not be judge by my professional mentality while in a combat enviroment.

How true. I remember the earlier wars, you didnt have much of a choice to be recruited or not. World War 2 was deadly, Vietnam was hell and now Iraq, I never been over there but the way that the media covers it, I see enough, PBS actually shows the full story, I found out about many things. But I still respect any one in the military, be they male or female, any race, any religion I respect them all, everyone who falls in battle or gets injured or scores a kill, they are heroes. I dont care what the president says. He doesnt know what it is like, he never served his term in the military. So here is another thank you to all the soldiers in the Army,Navy,Marines and any military installation. Thank you from the depths of my heart.

I think it was the word 'random' that threw me. As a professional I would hope that randomness does not enter into your accomplishments on a frequent basis.

Natalie made me administrator first on the board and some time after that it was changed. By that time I was a Full Member or Senior Member. Now that I reached over 1000 posts I am a god. I dont really like the rank but it is less stressful than being a administrator... when I didnt understand what I was doing... plus giving me all that priviliages... I got bored rather quickly and deleted some of my posts that were never answered. I felt so strange posting some of them.

if you were in parts of Texas, you would be having the same thing... I dont know if you heard, but most of Galveston was destroyed, and an island known as Ship Islands are gone. I remember that... when Charlie went through, it hit Port Charlotte first, it sliced an island in half or at least a peninsula. Dug a hole through it.

alright, once a year most units go to Fort Polk, Louisiana for an exercise called JRTC meaning Joint Readiness Training Center, imagine this place being the size of a small town and you get to play lazer tag all day and night with real enemies out there and observers watching to make sure there is no cheating. Now even though this is training we have some fun, when you land you are given a card inside an envelope and told to not open it until you get injured. During the exercise people are picked at random to " get injured " and during this time you open the envelope and find out what happened to you. When that happens the first aid personnel are supposed to conduct medical procedures on you. So me and my buddy are driving along and a mine simulator goes off. I drive fast and the observers tell us we got hit, so i pull off into a ditch. Now i never seen a snake that wasnt behind glass but after i pulled over i saw plenty. I ran out of the truck and the guy grabs me and tells me i have been shot and i need to lie down due to trauma from the " mine". So i lay down and my friend opens his card and he gets instant death, the mine blew his face open, cool. I go to open my card and guess what i get , something cool NOPE, the observers thought it would be funny to give me a female card, so when the medics came to me i had to tell them i had a broken leg and ........ i was pregnant. They had to treat me like a pregnant woman and everything , every stupid little step as if i was a female. Fun times, oh did i mention with me being " pregnant " i told them about my hunger and mood swings and i was offered some Papa Johns and a pillow and told i need to rest in order to stop a possible miscarriage and they treated my leg. Now due to Katrina the training area is now just a wet land mass and we can no longer conduct that exercise but luckily they have one called NTC at Fort Irwin , California and if i go, im sure lazer tag on a 35 mile square area will be fun, in the desert. If anyone has any story requests let me know, not all of them end up with me in danger but i can name some lol , good enough for you boss lady ??
